InMoDo has a number of products based on advanced computer vision technology for, e.g., mobile ticketing, barcode reading, image recognition and form reading. All InMoDo products can be adapted to the customer’s needs thanks to the strong in-house development resources.
InMoDo´s readers / validators (M-Phatic system) are universal, with future trend and easy to use. The SMS (ticket) is scanned by a reader, and the information encoded in the SMS-text is interpreted.
Format reading as follows:
- Text SMS;
- Mobile wallet´s tickets;
- RFID / SmartCards;
- NFC technology;
- Paper tickets (bar/aztec codes etc.).
The ticket reading process (check-in) lasts at max 400 milliseconds.
The readers are either portable or stationary and can work as stand-alone units for ticket validation without continuous contact with the ticket server, or as clients with intermittent or continuous online server communication. In the stand-alone units, the validation is based purely on the information encoded in the ticket.
The stationary readers are suitable for closed transit systems and are easily installed in buses or at entrance gates. The high-performance stationary readers are very robust to withstand the severe wear in transportation systems. Industrial ruggedness is ensured through carefully selected components and a sturdy casing. Almost unlimited connectivity is ascertained by a wide range of ports (USB, Ethernet, RS232, PS/2) and by communication options such as GPRS, 3G and WLAN. InMoDo’s stationary optical readers can also be integrated with RFID readers in the same housing.
The portable readers are suitable for fast and safe ticket inspection on regional and long-distance trains and buses. The reader software has been implemented on a number of popular PDA-type mobile computer platforms from, e.g., Casio, Motorola/Symbol, Psion and MobileCompia. The compatibility highly simplifies the integration of M-PhaTic tickets into existing ticketing solutions. Several portable readers and validators can be equipped with RFID, GPS and printers and all communicate wirelessly via GPRS or WLAN, and they can also be used as mobile phones and have on-line access to time tables, traffic information or ticketing systems.
